Most people call me Maru. My work exists at the intersection of leadership, culture, and complexity. For twenty years, I’ve stepped into the spaces where clarity is thin—supporting executives and organisations through moments that demand more than just a strategy, but a more conscious way of being.
I am a reader of systems and a translator of behaviour. My career began in the fast-paced world of HR and leadership development across sectors like finance and FMCG. Over time, I became known for an ability to see what others miss: the hidden patterns, the unsaid rules, and the emotional currents that shape organisational life. I bring structure to situations that feel politically charged or strategically unclear, helping Exco teams and leaders find their "True North."
My approach is grounded in rigour, but led by the heart.
With a PhD focused on conscious leadership and inclusivity in global and African contexts, my foundation is academic, but my practice is lived. I integrate the logic of neuroscience and systems thinking with the ancient wisdom of ontology and depth psychology. It is a multidisciplinary lens that allows me to work with complexity without losing the human centre.
I design the settings where transformation happens.
Whether through leadership labs, strategic retreats, or deep coaching partnerships, I create spaces defined by safety and challenge. My clients come to me when something fundamental needs to shift—a team dynamic, a relational pattern, or an entire organisational trajectory.
When I’m not deep in a system, you’ll find me resetting in nature or at a pottery wheel. These creative processes keep me grounded, ensuring that when I step into your world, I bring total presence, clarity, and a bit of "soul" to the high-performance journey.
If you are looking for a partner to help you navigate the underlying forces of your organisation—I’d be honoured to collaborate.
